Balpara provides professional 3D laser scanning and 3D modelling services to a wide range of clients and projects, including rail, civil, industrial, commercial and infrastructure. Backed by decades of experience and using the latest 3D laser scanning techniques and software, we can achieve exceptional levels of accuracy.
Our skilled 3D laser scanning team team collects enormous quantities of data to within +/- 1mm accuracy levels, and can even geolocate your project when required.
Survey-grade 3D laser scanning can replace traditional methods of inspection by generating high-resolution 3D data with the highest level of detail and accuracy. This is a reliable non-contact scanning method, which allows for minimal site visits and provides accessibility of hard to reach areas, such as roof cavities, pits and lift shafts.
Our professional 3D scanning and modelling team can work within a variety of conditions and with a wide range of clients to capture precise, non-contact 3D scans and take your scan to BIM.
Balpara provides streamlined 3D scanning and modelling services that allow for the immediate processing of 3D scan data for modelling and design applications, while reducing project timelines and often costly errors.
“Thanks to Balpara’s quality structural steel 3D modelling capabilities and a great team effort, part one of the project was delivered on time and to budget. Our two teams worked very well together, and we would recommend Balpara for any major fast track project.”

3D laser scanning is used to define the shapes of objects, buildings or landscapes in a 3D model. It involves the creation of “point cloud” data that defines the surfaces under inspection.
The scanners measure the fine details of complex surfaces which would traditionally require massive amounts of manual input for their accurate depiction - saving time both on-site and in the office for any modelling services. This enables measuring where traditional methods would be impractical. Watch our video below to see it in action.
