Balpara has been engaged to deliver a variety of services across multiple aspects of the Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV) roll out. Project Overview Major Road Projects Victoria is the organisation behind the North East Link , West Gate Tunnel , and Big Build Roads delivering dozens of essential freeway and road upgrades across the State. It is an ambitious project for Victoria that has been in progress for many years. MRPV’s commitment is to reduce traffic congestion in a State with a growing population, while making the roads that Victorians rely on every day safer for all users. Beyond the impact on Victoria’s transport network, MRPV is working to leave a legacy that benefits communities and provides sustainable employment and supply chain opportunities for some of Victoria’s most disadvantaged groups. Scope These projects are still underway and Balpara continues to work through the various project deliverables across our full suite of services. To date, we have provided the following services across multiple projects and stages: Public lighting design and Lux Level assessment AS3000 design Electrical asset relocation Electrical and communications design Overhead pole surveying and design Asset and feature surveying Detailing and auditing Soil testing and geotechnical services Cable tracing and GPR locating Engineering design and project management (including PM2 recognised services) Value Add Balpara’s specialised and unique experience in the Victorian electrical sector enables the delivery of a broad range of services . These services have been delivered to various components of all programmed major roads works as part of the MRPV. We’ve become the first choice for many providers due to our speciality expertise, extensive knowledge and proven experience, reliability and credibility. Accreditations Balpara has all relevant accreditation and certifications required. We currently work with Victorian Utilities, Authorities and Councils, are VEDN approved VicRoads accredited. Our people are VESI accredited Balpara is also and have a credible history with clients across Victoria.

Balpara was engaged by Latrobe City Council to undertake surveying and design services for path lighting at Burrage Reserve, Newborough.
December 7, 2023
The Hume City Council contracted Balpara to provide soil contamination testing and geotechnical services in Somerton.
North East Link Project
December 5, 2023
Balpara was contracted by Jemena to undertake site surveying, drafting and electrical design between multiple Zone Substations for the North East Link Project.
October 4, 2023
Balpara completed site surveying and underground design for the existing overhead network and service networks across seven defence sites in Victoria.

Balpara was engaged by a utilities client to provide surveying, detailing and as-built drafting for 66kV power upgrade at Fisherman’s Bend in Port Melbourne. This included Balpara’s 3D scanning and modelling service.

Gumbuya World is an amusement park located in Tynong North, Victoria. Balpara was engaged to assist with power upgrades following the installation of two new rollercoasters at the park. This included negotiating with AusNet for increased supply capacity.

Nagambie Holiday Park

Balpara was engaged as the primary electrical consultant for the AS 3000 electrical upgrade of the Nagambie Holiday and Caravan Park.
